Introductory Post  

Draw close, dear reader, for what I fervently wish should prove to be the first of many digital deliberations. I will endeavor to keep my tone conversational without sacrificing, overmuch, the joy I find in crafting sentences that harken to an elder age. An assurance that also serves as an expeditious route to the heart of my purpose here. To discuss our love of language and the craft of writing.

As you might guess from the above, I take great pleasure in expressing my thoughts by coaxing the English language into pleasant, if not entirely natural, structures. It is, in my mind, a kind of art, though I would hardly present myself as an artist. This blog will be dedicated to many things: book reviews, literary musings, announcements, updates on our works in progress, and the occasional random post about our lives or pets.

Though the goal for both authors under this pen name is the same, our methods and motivations merge and separate like the path of a snaking river.  For clarity, all of our works are the product of both authors working in concert and not two authors writing different projects under the same name. We have chosen to write under a pen name both for privacy– that rare and elusive coinage in this modern age– and to prevent the multitudinous letters of our names taking up the majority of every future book cover.

We are gladdened that you have found your way here and hope this site will serve as a place for those who enjoy the craft of writing to engage with both us, and our works. Depart in high spirits and may you return none the poorer for your absence.
